CPR for Healthcare Provider (BLS)

This course is specifically designed for those who work in the healthcare field. Topics include recognizing several life-threatening emergencies, providing CPR, using an AED and relieving choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

Ages: 18 & up

CPR & AED Certification

Learn CPR and how to use an automatic external defibrillator, or AED. Developed by the American Heart Association, this class addresses pediatric and adult CPR, recognizing and relieving a choking victim, recognizing the signs of a heart attack, and how to use an AED. This class is not for healthcare providers.

Ages: 12 and up

Community Garden

The Washington Township Community Garden is located at the corner of Cosgray and Rings Rd. at Amlin Crossing Park. Plots are 12′ x 14′. You don’t need experience, just a willingness to learn and maintain your garden for the duration of the growing season. Plots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to returning gardeners. A volunteer committee oversees the day-to-day operations of the garden.

To be a part of the community garden, gardeners should plan to:

  • Visit the garden two to three times a week during the growing season.
  • Attend scheduled meetings.
  • Harvest produce on a regular basis.

Please read the Community Garden Guidelines before registering, as compliance with these guidelines is a requirement for participation in this program. Registration begins February 19 for returning gardeners, March 10 for new gardeners (WT/City of Dublin residents), and March 20 for new gardeners (non-residents).

Blended Learning – CPR, First Aid, & CPR & First Aid

This blended learning option is for those who have completed the online course Heartsaver® CPR AED  ($16.50) on the Amercian Heart Association (AHA) website. Once the online portion has been completed,  you can schedule your skills check (hands-on portion). 

Developed by the American Heart Association, this class addresses pediatric and adult CPR, recognizing and relieving a choking victim, recognizing the signs of a heart attack, and how to use an AED.

Blended Learning for First Aid Certification:

This blended learning option is for those who have completed the online course Heartsaver® First Aid  ($16.50) on the Amercian Heart Association (AHA) website. Once the online portion has been completed,  you can schedule your skills check (hands-on portion). 

Knowledge of basic first aid skills can come in handy in just about any setting or situation, including camping, field trips, sport events, on the job, as well as your own back yard. Students will learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies, and how to respond to and manage an emergency until EMS arrives.

Blended Learning for CPR & First Aid Certification:

This blended learning option is for those who have completed the online course Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED  ($21) on the Amercian Heart Association (AHA) website. Once the online portion has been completed,  you can schedule your skills check (hands-on portion).
